INITIAL ENQUIRY
- Submit an initial enquiry via www.cheesecake.com.au or contact your state consultant.
- An interview with the state consultant is arranged to give you a detailed overview of The Cheesecake Shop.
- Submit an official application form. This form requires personal and financial information. It is an opportunity for The Cheesecake Shop to assess you on a number of essential criteria.
- A $2200 Inc GST deposit is required if you are submitting an application for a new store. This is fully refundable should you not proceed with the purchase. No deposit is required for the application of an existing store.
MAKING AN INFORMED DECISION
- You will be provided a Draft Disclosure Document, Draft Franchise Agreement and the Franchising Code of Practice for you and your advisors to review.
- Seek independent legal advice from an experienced franchise solicitor. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Seek independent financial advice from your preferred accountant or financial advisor. For an existing store ensure you have the up to date profit and loss statements. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Contact a minimum of 4 franchisees. Contact details are contained in the disclosure document.
- Review site and lease details for the location you are considering and seek advice if you not understand the obligations expected of you within the Lease.
- Meet Centre Management or Leasing agent for your preferred location.
- Final meeting with state representative.
Entering into an agreement
- The Cheesecake Shop will provide a Franchise Agreement, Sub Licence, Disclosure Document and Franchising Code of Practice documents. Ensure these documents are reviewed by your Solicitor.
- Sign and return documents within 14 days from receipt, followed by a 7 day cooling-off period.
- Attend orientation and training programmes held in our Sydney Head Office. During this time new stores will be constructed and existing stores will be refreshed.
