Does The Cheesecake Shop ethically source its ingredients?
The Cheesecake Shop is an established franchise system in the retail bakery industry. The Cheesecake Shop lays claim to a twenty-year food safety record and an enviable history of serving our valued customers with quality and affordable cakes and desserts. The Cheesecake Shop manufactures locally at each site from scratch ingredients (in the main) to ensure product freshness.
Within the constraints of a commercial enterprise, The Cheesecake Shop is just as concerned with ensuring that purchasing decisions consider the wider implications and are made in the best interests of its customers, the community and the environment.
In this regard ingredients and equipment is sourced from reputable suppliers who are selected preferentially including on the basis of their efforts to ensure that The Cheesecake Shop’s supply needs are produced and delivered in a way that avoids abuse or exploitation of workers, animals and the environment.
All the eggs used by The Cheesecake Shop are free range across its Australian Stores.
The Cheesecake Shop’s authorised suppliers are risk assessed to ensure the standard and quality of ingredients and manufacturing are at an acceptable level. Dictated by our values and in line with customer’s expectations we endeavor to ensure all sourcing is consistent with the principles of sustainability including a preference towards those suppliers that comply with the guidelines of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
The Cheesecake Shop is a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant, which is an Australian Federal Government initiative that aims to change the culture of business to facilitate the design of more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and to reduce packaging litter.
The Cheesecake Shop will not knowingly purchase ingredients, goods and services from suppliers that conduct their business in a way that causes significant damage to the environment. Where we do become aware of environmental concerns we will work with the supplier to find a solution to the problem. Failing this we will seek to source from an alternative supplier.
Is The Cheesecake Shop Halal Certified?
The Cheesecake Shop predominantly uses Halal certified ingredients and have individual bakeries that have been accredited by the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC). For a list of stores, please Click Here.
Do you offer Gluten Free cakes?
Yes we do! We have two Gluten Free Cakes available (Gluten Free Chocolate Cake and a Gluten Free Carrot and Orange Cake) that are endorsed by Coeliac Australia and New Zealand. These products are made off-premises and are sold to the consumer in sealed packaging.

Do you offer Vegan Cakes?
Yes we do! We have two Vegan Cakes available - a Vegan Chocolate Cake and a Vegan Strawberry Choc Cake. You are best to contact your local bakery to inquire about availability and to order.

What type of gelatin are used in the cakes?
The Cheesecake Shop has two types of cream. Both are Halal Certified. One contains a plant based thickener and the other has a beef (bovine) gelatin. If you have a specific dietary need, please contact your nearest store.
Do any of the cakes contain alcohol?
Our Belgian Double Choc Mudcake contains sherry and our Tiramisu contains a Rum Essence. Our halal certified stores do not use these ingredients in the abovementioned cakes. Click Here for a list of Halal certified stores.
Do you offer any nut free products?
We do have two options available - a Nutfree and Eggless Choc/Strawberry Donut Cake. These products are made off-premises and are sold to the consumer in sealed packaging. Please note that we are unable to customise this as there is a risk of cross contamination.

How can I purchase a gift card?
How long are the gift cards valid for?
Three years from the date of purchase. Please note that our gift cards can not be reloaded and are non-refundable.
How and where can I use my gift card?
You can use this at any of our stores or online. Please print out your online voucher if you wish to use in-store.

How are you handling COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in your locations?
Government food authorities advise us that transmission of COVID-19 through food (cake) is unlikely and there is no evidence of this occurring to date or with previous outbreaks of similar viruses such as SARS or MERS.
The following additional measures have been added to our strict food safety and hygiene practices to minimise the risk of spread:
• Increased scheduled cleaning and sanitisation of our bakery and shop front
• Removal of free sample product
• Washing and sanitising hands between service of every customer
• Our customer touch points are being regularly cleaned and sanitised such as EFTPOS terminal and door handles
• At your request, we can keep an additional distance from you. We are encouraging our team to maintain a 1.5m distance from customers where possible.
If you wish to minimise your time in our store, we strongly encourage you to place an order online for next day pick up.
What are your trading hours?
Our trading hours are 9am - 7pm, 7 days per week. Some bakeries vary from this. Click here to search the trading hours of your nearest bakery.
Do you deliver?

Can I order my cakes online?
Of course you can. You can order from our Everyday Range of cakes by 5pm and pick up the next day from 10am.
What is The Cheesecake Shop’s Refund Policy?
You are entitled to a full refund, gift voucher or replacement item of same or lesser value if you are not fully satisfied with the product. You will be required to provide the bakery a copy of the invoice and return the product (or remains of the product). The refund policy is not based on personal preference or purchasing the wrong cake. If the cake has been purchased online via The Cheesecake Shop website you will need to retain your email invoice. If you have purchased the product from a delivery aggregator like UberEats or MenuLog, you will need to address this with the service provider.

Custom Cake Enquiry
How do I order a custom cake?
You are best to contact your local bakery about custom cakes as cake designs, prices and availability vary. For your local bakery's contact details, please Click here.
I want to see what options I have for custom cakes, where can I view this?
You can view your local bakery's custom cake range via Instagram! Simply select your preferred store on our website at cheesecake.com.au and click on the instagram icon. Be sure to follow your local bakeries page.
What is the Custom Cake Cancellation Policy?
1.0 Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order with the balance payable on, or prior to, pick-up.
2.0 Confirmation
You will be issued with a tax invoice after payment of your deposit. It will include relevant details of your custom order. If your order was placed via email, the details of your order will be contained within the email. Please check the details of your order as confirmed by the store carefully as your order will be prepared according to the details noted.
3.0 Changes
Changes can be made prior to 14 days of the pick-up date. Extra charges will be incurred if changes are made beyond the 14 day time period.
4.0 Cancellation Policy
The 50% deposit paid is non-refundable.
5.0 Order Fulfilment
The custom cake will be shown to you in-store upon pick-up. Please make sure that you inspect the cake and are satisfied. Taking the cake from the store constitutes acceptance of the product.
6.0 Best Endeavour
The Cheesecake Shop bakes and decorates in-store and each product is individually hand-crafted. Custom cake offerings by individual bakeries may vary in availability, design, quality and price. Colour variations may occur from digital or printed photographs shown to the final physical product.
7.0 Cake Transportation and Storage
Once the cake is accepted by the customer in-store, any damages to the cake as a result of inappropriately transporting or storing the cake is not the responsibility of the store.
